Windows 8 Troubleshooting SONY Handycam DCR-DVD710E Compatibility Issues with Windows 8.1 Pro

I have SONY Handycam DCR-DVD710E. Previously the Handycam was communicating with my PC with Operating System Windows Vista. Now i am using Windows 8.1Pro (64 bit) operating system. My SONY Hasndycam is not communicating with windows 8.1 pro. If anyone can help to find some solution to it kindly share.

According to Sony's site the drivers for this device should be built into Windows 7 and newer. Do you have Sony's software installed?
