Windows 7 Troubleshooting Taskbar Thumbnail Previews After Installing ASUS Radeon HD 4890

Hi folks,

Anyone come across this problem before?

I have recently installed windows 7 and initially the task bar thumbnail previews worked fine. However yesterday the thumbnail previews changed to a text box preview

I did install a new graphics card yesterday ASUS Radeon HD 4890 but as far as I am aware there were no options to change any settings to the taskbar. Tried googling the issue but no luck.

Can anyone help pse!

WORKED!!

It appears that the std drivers on the CD, i.e. Gamers OSD and SmartDoctor, has compatibilty issues.

Downloaded latest drivers form the ASUS website and all is good now.

Hope this forum helps others.

Founf the problem.....it was the ASUS Gamer OSD and Smart Doctor software. For what ever reason it disabled the aero function. Will download the latest version from the web and see it if stil works after that and keep the forum posted. H
