Windows 7 Turn Off Thumbnail Previews on Classic Theme (Windows 7)

Is there any way to complete turn off the taskbar thumbnail previews? I'm on classic theme. I tried the following, but it's just delaying not disabling them..

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Set ExtendedUIHoverTime to 99999, then restart explorer.exe.

Well thats strange because if you are using the basic theme they shouldn't appear at all. But you can try using "7 Taskbar tweaker" application (7 Taskbar Tweaker - RaMMicHaeL's home page) and then set "Nothing" under the Hovering section.
