I'm connected to the internet whenever i do this. I tried wireless and with ethernet cable, same outcome. What should i do to fix this problem? It would be really helpful if anyone could help me with this. Thanks ;)

The error message you are encountering when trying to download and install programs like DIVX or Windows Live Movie Maker is likely due to a security setting on your computer that's preventing the installation of these programs. This issue could be caused by various factors, including permissions, network settings, or antivirus software. To resolve this problem, you can try the following steps: 1. Disable Antivirus Software: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with program installations. Temporarily disable your antivirus software and attempt to install the program again to see if this resolves the issue. 2. Check Firewall Settings: Your firewall settings may be blocking the installation process. Temporarily disable...

Temporarily disable the firewall or add an exception for the program you are trying to install. 3. Use a Different Browser: If you are downloading these programs from a web browser, try using a different browser to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, browser settings can cause download and installation issues. 4. Check User Account Control (UAC) Settings: Ensure that your User Account Control settings are not set too high, as this can prevent certain installations from completing. You can adjust these settings in the Control Panel under User Accounts. 5. Run as Administrator: Right-click on the installer file and select "Run as Administrator" to give the installation process the necessary permissions to complete successfully. 6. Clear Temporary Files: Clear your temporary files and cache to ensure there are no corrupt files causing the issue. You can do this by running the Disk Cleanup tool in Windows. 7. Update Windows: Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date by installing any pending updates. Outdated software can sometimes cause compatibility issues with new installations. 8. Try a Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This can help identify if a third-party application is causing the installation issue. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the error you are encountering while trying to download and install programs on your computer. If the issue persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
