Windows Vista Unable To Install HP Active Support Library Updates

I've had trouble as of late with a couple of important HP Active Support Library Updates. The best solution I could come up with, came from the HP Business Support Forums. (I only have an HP Home Premium) I'd like to share these solutions in case anybody else is having this problem. Link Removed - Invalid URL Just got this.....

I was never able to get that update through!!! HP told me to force it, and I couldn't. HP still flags me to put it in- then says my computer is poor on maintenance without it. That antagonized me, so finally I trucked in to the people who know. The specialist also could not force the update ....... I asked about changing - fixing the file to accept the library update. (He said it's dangerous) I can't believe HP wrote such a "BAD" update, why don't people complain? HP
