It seems like the recent Windows 7 update might have caused an issue with your system booting up normally. Since you can access your files in Safe Mode, we can try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. Here are some steps you can take to potentially fix the problem: 1. Run System Restore: - In Safe Mode, you can try to use System Restore to revert your system back to a point before the update was installed. This can often fix issues caused by recent updates. 2. Check for Malware: - Sometimes, malware can interfere with the normal boot process. Run a thorough scan of your system using an antivirus program. 3. Check for Malware: - Sometimes, malware can interfere with the normal boot process. Run a thorough scan of your system using an antivirus program. 3. Update Drivers: - Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause boot issues. Make sure your drivers are up to date, especially graphics and chipset drivers. 4. Disable Startup Programs: - Some programs that start with Windows might be causing conflicts. You can disable unnecessary startup programs in Safe Mode using the System Configuration tool (msconfig). 5. Check Event Viewer: - Look for any error messages in the Event Viewer (you can access this in Safe Mode) that might offer clues about what's causing the boot problem. 6. Perform a Clean Boot: - Once you have isolated the issue, you can perform a clean boot by selectively enabling services and startup items until you identify the culprit. 7. Check Disk for Errors: - You can run a disk check to scan for and fix any disk errors that might be causing the issue. Try these steps and see if any of them help in resolving the login issue you are experiencing. If none of these steps work, please provide more details so that we can further assist you in troubleshooting the problem.
