Windows 7 Using Bitlocker with drive cloning & on peer to peer network

I normally have acronis do a complete clone of my drive daily.
If I bitlock the drive and then try to clone, will the clone know the key & work perfectly or not?
If not, is there a way to get this to work?

Can I access the bitlock drive from another computer on my peer to peer network with the usual sharing or does it need to be done differently?

I played around with Bit-locker and encrypted all my drives there was no speed deterioration as I have noticed in other software and I was able to access the drives across my LAN. Am still looking into image creation and bit-locker myself once I get other jobs owt of the way, if I find out I will let this forum know.
