I upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista and I have noticed the boot time is slower than it was with Vista. I tested my bootup time through a program and it took 194 seconds for my comp to boot up.

My question is would making a clean install of Windows 7 solve this problem and make boot up times much faster?

I tried to type those commands into a command prompt, and it said it wasn't recognized as an internal command or something. Maybe I am typing it wrong??

Do you have an instant messenger like AIM? It would be a lot easier in assisting me with this issue.

I got the Task Scheduler open by typing in that command prompt, I don't know what to do from here.

Go here and press page down twice. Link Removed

Just click Start and type Task... and select Task Scheduler
