After installing windows 7 I can't use volume hotkeys for this program: Sound Volume Hotkeys - Control sound volume using system-wide hotkeys.
because key combination Win+up is already taken by windows. I have also tried Active Keys where I can change volume hotkeys, but it is trial. Does anyone know another program that I could use, or even how to disable Windows hotkeys Win+up and Win+down?

It seems like you're facing an issue with volume hotkeys conflicting with Windows hotkeys after installing Windows 7. To address this problem, you have a few options:
  1. Alternative Programs for Volume Hotkeys:
    • Instead of using "Sound Volume Hotkeys," you can consider using other similar programs that allow customizable hotkeys for volume control. Some alternatives to consider are:
      • Volume2: This program provides a wide range of hotkey customization options for volume control.
      • Volumouse: Another utility that lets you control the sound volume using your mouse wheel or other hotkeys.
      • 3RVX: A customizable on-screen display (OSD) volume control with hotkey support.

    []Disabling Windows Hotkeys:
    • If you prefer using "Sound Volume Hotkeys" and want to disable specific Windows hotkeys like Win+Up and Win+Down, you can achieve this through the Windows Registry or using third-party tools. Here's how you can do it manually:
      • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
      • Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
      • Navigate to the following key:
        Code:
         HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
      • Create a new DWORD value:
      • For Win+Up: Create a new value named NoWinKeys with a value data of 9.
      • For Win+Down: Create a new value named NoWinKeys with a value data of 10. Note: Modifying the Registry can have unintended consequences if not done correctly, so proceed with caution or use a third-party tool for easier management.

    ]Third-Party Hotkey Management Tools:
    • Consider using third-party hotkey management tools that allow you to remap or disable specific hotkey combinations. Tools like AutoHotkey or SharpKeys can help you achieve this with more flexibility. By exploring these options, you should be able to resolve the conflict between your volume hotkeys and Windows hotkeys on Windows 7.
