While VPNs enhance online privacy and security by encrypting your internet connection, they do not necessarily block all types of tracking technology. Here are a few reasons why your cleanup software might still identify trackers, even when using a VPN: 1. Cookies and Local Storage: VPNs do not prevent websites from storing cookies or other tracking data in your browser. Device and Account Information: If you are logged into accounts or apps that can track you based on your profile or device information, a VPN may not prevent this type of tracking. 4. App Tracking: VPNs mainly protect your online activities in the browser but may not extend protection to apps installed on your device. 5. Incomplete Privacy Features: Not all VPNs offer additional privacy features like ad-blocking, tracker prevention, or anti-malware capabilities. Using a VPN with these features can enhance your protection against tracking. To enhance your online privacy further, consider using additional privacy tools or settings alongside your VPN. This may include using browser extensions that block trackers, deleting cookies regularly, adjusting browser privacy settings, or using more comprehensive online privacy solutions.
