I have windows 7 64 bit 500 GB hard disk with one primary and two other partions.I had installed the latest version of vs code the 'system installation' for all users .it opened correctly the first time. But then I tried the command code . in powershell terminal to open vs code without enabling the shell in vs code terminal. Subsequently I am not able to open vs code on my desktop.sometime it is showing up in the task manager when I click open sometimes not!I have approx 3.7 gb space left in my c drive.
I would start by looking at the event viewer. The application log may be reporting errors. You can also just try repairing the install.
