Windows 7 Web Sites time out

I set up a bunch of web site favorites in IE10 or bookmarks in Firefox 33.0 and was able to connect to them. All of a sudden they are timing out trying to get to them. Some web sites are OK. Any idea what may be causing this? I was able to access them before but for the last couple of days they are not available.

I to was experiencing something very similar with a few websites in my bookmarks as well. I just did a google search for the site of my saved bookmark and it accessed the web just fine. Yet the bookmark received the timed out error. Now everything seems to be working just fine....albeit I'm using Windows 10 TP build 9860 ATM.

Try using the url instead of the saved bookmark and see if that makes a difference.

I contacted Morgan Stanley (one of the sites I was having a problem with) and they said to try resetting my router. Bingo, the web sites that were timing out a accessible again. Fixed.
