Sometimes I can't access my gmail or hotmail. Today I couldn't even access Google.... I tried with IE, Firefox, and Google Chrome, none of them worked. I had to restart my computer to get it to work. IE says the certificate is bad. Chrome sometimes says there is something wrong with the cert, or 404, or says the link is invalid. Sorry I can't be more specific, I'll start keeping better track of the exact errors I am getting.

Update - I just got this error, not sure if it's related to the others I had or not.

Browse MySpace Friends and Profiles
Google Chrome:
Invalid URL
The requested URL "/Browse/Browse.aspx", is invalid.

Firefox:
Invalid URL

Update - google.com now redirects me to my.aol.com.... It does this in all three web browsers that I use.... The search feature it has doesn't seem to work either. Did I somehow pick up a Windows 7 virus within days of installing it? I've never had a problem quite like this before.

I tried to use msn.com instead of Google, and this is happening:

I then tried yahoo.com. Appears to work fine in IE and Firefox, but not Chrome. Yahoo.com turns into:

Yahoo!
Oops! This link appears to be broken.
Suggestions:
View cached copy of page from Google
Reload this page later
Go to yahoo. com
Search on Google:

Click on "yahoo.com" takes me to google.com with an AOL page. MSN.com is still down, with different refference numbers:

Google.com just went back to normal again.

MSN.com seems to be up again, but only in Google Chrome now. The search is broken, it sends you to bing.com with an error "The page cannot be found". If you go directly to bingh.com you get:

Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

All of this is only happening on my computer. I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 installed on it right next to me and everything is working fine.

Just went to topix.com and I am getting this bizzare message and nothing else:

Not yet. I am getting really tired now and need to go to bed (this Ambien is kicking my ass). Is there any good software that you would suggest?

Didn't have any problems for the 1st half of the day. I went ahead and ran CCleaner and Clamwin Portable for now. Clamwin reported 2 trojans.

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\wr83636.dll: Trojan.Agent-98301 FOUND
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\wr83636.dll: moved/scheduled to 'K:\xSystem\opensource\ClamWinPortable\Data\quarantine\infected.wr83636.dll'

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\xwr83636.dll: moved/scheduled to 'K:\xSystem\opensource\ClamWinPortable\Data\quarantine\infected.xwr83636.dll'

K: is my external HDD.

Just an hour ago, I checked a few sites and discovered that myspace.com stopped working on this computer sometime today. It just goes to a white page. This is how the problem usually is. Usually I'll discover that one site (usually gmail) doesn't work. Yesterday night was the only time it ever started to re-direct me and get completely out of control. I've had browser hijacking viruses quite a few times back in the day, but none of them acted like this, it's really strange. What kind of virus doesn't let you check gmail occasionally, and makes google go to aol for 1 night until a restart?

I installed and ran AVG. It didn't find anything though. I did a full scan. It did say it found 2 trojans, which were not removed, which was just the XeroBank browser (portable version on my external) that I've had forever, but never really use.

I tried to go to SkyDrive and got this.

Using the incognito window in Chrome fixed it, but when I tried to login, this happened:

Chrome, login.live.com

Hi sim
What Build of Win 7 are you using? I originally ran the Beta Bld 7000 and then I thought I would try one of the newer builds released into the wild and downloaded and installed bld 7077 and I found I was having similar problems to your goodself.
I am now running the official downloaded from MS$ RC bld 7100 and apart from initial driver and some app problems I do not have any browser related probs anymore (Firefox). Some of the released wild card builds had been tampered with and all sorts of malware hidden within. Just a thought if you are running anything other than the officially released builds.

I have RTM 7600.16385. Using x64. I installed the x86 version on a friends Toshiba laptop, and so far she has not had any issues. I use her computer to get onto sites that won't work on my computer.

I've personally been having quite a few problems with Windows 7. I might make a post soon about my external HDD acting up. My webcam's (quickcam fusion) video recording doesn't work anymore either, which is Logitechs fault I believe. Hopefully most things will be running smoother by the end of this year, once more people have it, and more things become officially compatible with 7.

Gmail just went out again. I had to restart.

A couple minutes after restart, I followed a link from Google to answers.yahoo.com. I tried logging into yahoo to rate an answer, and got the error immediately after login. Now I can't go to the site at all using any browser. Chrome incognito didn't work at all either. Restart is the only thing that works...

HTTP 400 Bad Request

I tried logging out to see if that would fix it. Nope. Then tried logging out and waiting a few minutes. Nope. Restarted explorer.exe (probably the same as logging off?). No go... Restart worked as usual though. I was able to log in this time without any problems too.
