I'm getting a BSOD with stop code 0x00000124 (0x00000000, 0x864FF024, 0xB2000040, 0x0000080)
The laptop is an Asus N70, 2.66 C2D, Nvidia GT130M, 4GB ram, and dual segate 7200rpm 500GB HDD's
I just put 7 on this laptop a few weeks ago, it worked fine at first, but since then I've noticed a minor issue with windows live messenger.. it's just abnormally slow, it freezes a lot, and if I try to go into say, the emoticons menu, it freezes completely and I have to wait a few minutes for it to start working again. I don't know if they could be connected somehow, or what. I've also had the Windows live messenger issue on my HP tablet (AMD turion x2 2.3ghz, some ATI intergrated card, 4GB ram)
Oh, and I have the live plus addon installed Link Removed - Invalid URL
Otherwise it runs pretty smoothly, plays fairly graphics intensive games just fine.

Thanks for your help

Hi akjax,
You could try running a scan for malware/spyware, also have you tried either updating or re-installing messenger to see if that cures the problem?

I agree with Kemical.

If there were no stop errors at all before installing Windows Live Essentials, I would uninstall it and the add-on using {url=http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html]RevoUninstaller[/URL]

If that takes care of the stop error, you know that was the culprit although I'm at a loss as to why it would cause this error being a Microsoft application.

Other options are vailable, see if this works first.

You might want to download this freeware utility which gathers information on the stop error:
