i recently just built my own computer and got windows 7, and when i try to install windows 7 it says there is not hard drive found to install it on. i know there are a lot of threads already about this topic but iv tried almost everything and nothing seems to work. my specs are-
asus m4n78 pro motherboard
kingston hyper x 4gb 1066
antec 550wat power supply
and a western digital caviar black SATA 500gb hard drive
i tried putting in the mobo disk and install the drivers but none seem to be compatable, and i cant get into the advanced options for windows 7. i got to the screen once and havent been able to get back to it since. i used a old sata hard drive which already had xp on it and installed windows 7 onto that so i was wondering if there is a way to install the drivers on to my new hard drive and then install windows 7 on to that. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

I guess you could start with the basics:

* Remove all but one stick of RAM before proceeding.
* Switch the SATA cables around between your drives (trust me, it works sometimes).
* Switch the SATA ports inside your computer.

If that doesn't work, try placing the hard-drive in another PC (if you have one) to check whether it's working correctly.
