Microsoft has recently released the KB5058481 update for Windows 10 version 22H2, bringing the build number to 19045.5917. This update reintroduces the calendar flyout clock, a feature that had been quietly removed in previous versions. Additionally, it enhances the Rich Calendar experience, providing users with a more robust scheduling tool.
The update also addresses technical issues related to the Graphics Device Interface (GDI) and Windows Subsystem for Android (WinSaS). While specific details are limited, these fixes aim to improve system stability and performance. However, a known issue persists: users employing Chinese, Japanese, or Korean languages may experience blurry Noto fonts in Chromium-based browsers.
To install KB5058481, navigate to Settings > Windows Update and select "Download and install manually," or download it directly from the Microsoft Update Catalog. It's noteworthy that Microsoft continues to support Windows 10 with monthly non-security previews, even as the operating system approaches its end-of-support deadline in October 2025.
For users of Windows 11 versions 22H2, 23H2, and 24H2, corresponding non-security updates have also been released, ensuring that Microsoft's latest operating systems receive similar enhancements and fixes.
