The Start menu now features an updated mobile device companion layout, allowing users to access recent activities such as messages, calls, photos, and app updates directly from the Start interface. This redesign enhances the integration between Windows 11 and mobile devices, streamlining user interactions.
Migration of Time and Language Settings to Settings App
In an effort to consolidate system configurations, several time and language settings have been moved from the Control Panel to the Settings app:
- Additional Clocks: Users can add extra clocks via Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
- Time Server Configuration: The time server can now be changed under Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Additional settings.
- Date and Time Formatting: Formatting options, including AM/PM symbols, have been relocated to Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
- Number and Currency Format: These settings are now accessible under Settings > Time & language > Language & region > Region.
- Unicode UTF-8 Support: A toggle for enabling Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support is available under Settings > Time & language > Language & region > Language.
- Language and Region Settings Copy: Users can copy current language and region settings to the welcome screen, system account, and new user accounts via Settings > Time & language > Language & region > Additional settings.
Migration of Keyboard Settings to Settings App
Keyboard settings have also been transitioned from the Control Panel to the Settings app:
- Character Repeat Delay/Rate: Adjustable under Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard.
- Cursor Blink Rate: Configurable via Settings > Accessibility > Text cursor.
Updated System Dialogs
System dialogs, such as those appearing when an application fails to open, have been updated to align with Windows 11's visual aesthetics, providing a more cohesive user interface.
File Explorer Enhancements
Several improvements have been made to File Explorer:
- Icon Mirroring: Resolved issues with icon mirroring in right-to-left languages.
- Tooltip Persistence: Fixed tooltips that remained visible unexpectedly.
- Tab Duplication Flash: Addressed black flashes occurring when duplicating tabs in maximized windows.
- Desktop Icon Scaling: Improved support to prevent overlapping icons and text.

A crash occurring when adding a security key under Settings > Account > Sign-in options has been resolved.

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION errors affecting some users.
Known Issues
Users may encounter the following issues:
- Update Rollback: Some users may experience rollbacks with error 0x80070005 during updates.
- Visual Studio on Arm64: Crashes may occur when running scenarios dependent on Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
- Click to Do: Text and image actions may not function correctly, and the application may crash.
- Start Menu Layout: The layout may temporarily display fewer columns of pinned apps.
- Taskbar Icons: Pinned apps may be unpinned after updating.
- File Explorer Dark Mode: Drive space colors may appear incorrect.
- Live Captions: Crashes may occur during live translation on Copilot+ PCs.
- Xbox Controllers: Using Xbox controllers via Bluetooth may cause system crashes.
