I am having a problem with an eSATA hard drive that causes Windows to freeze if the drive is plugged in at powerup. I started Windows in safe mode, and saw that the last driver loaded before freeze is C:\Windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys. However, when I view this folder in Windows Explorer, there are very few files in the folder, and disk.sys is not there. Question: where are drivers stored in 64-bit Windows 7, or why am I not seeing them in the above folder? I am showing hidden files, folders, and drives in Windows Explorer, so I should be able to view them if they are there.
Thanks!
