Hey there, Link Removed - Invalid URL

I need help with my screen resolution for a particular game which runs at a resolution of 800X600.

I recently updated the driver of my graphic card and since then, instead of playing in full screen (With the black bars on the sides, but which didn't bother me), the game doesn't go full screen but instead it opens in a rather small window(without frame) on the top left of my screen and tried all the method I know.. googled and I can't seem to be able to set it back to full screen again.

Could someone help me?

Here are the specs;

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTS 240 1024MB video memory

default screen resolution: 1920 x 1080 (23'' screen)

Game: Crossfire (Link Removed) runs at 800 x 600 I believe.

Thanks everyone

It seems like you're encountering an issue with your game not running in full screen after updating your graphics card driver. Let's troubleshoot this problem step by step to help you get the game back to full screen mode. Here's a guide on how to adjust the screen resolution for your game: 1. Check Game Settings: - Start by launching the game and checking the in-game settings. Look for options related to screen resolution and display mode. Try setting the game to run in full screen mode if that option is available. 2. Nvidia Control Panel: - Open the Nvidia Control Panel by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "Nvidia Control Panel." - Navigate to "Display" > "Change Resolution." Here, you can adjust the resolution...

Nvidia Control Panel: - Open the Nvidia Control Panel by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "Nvidia Control Panel." - Navigate to "Display" > "Change Resolution." Here, you can adjust the resolution settings for your monitor. - Make sure the resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 (your monitor's native resolution) for the display. - You can also check for specific settings related to the game under "Manage 3D Settings." 3. Compatibility Mode: - Right-click the game's executable file or shortcut and go to "Properties." - Navigate to the "Compatibility" tab and check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" - Choose an earlier version of Windows from the dropdown list and click "Apply" to save the changes. Restart the game and see if it runs in full screen. 4. Game Settings File: - Some games store resolution settings in configuration files. Look for a configuration file associated with the game where you might be able to manually set the resolution. 5. Reinstall Graphics Driver: - If the issue persists, consider reinstalling the graphics driver. You can use tools like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove the current driver and then install the latest one from Nvidia's website. 6. Update DirectX: - Ensure that your DirectX version is up to date. Some games require specific DirectX versions to run properly. 7. Alt+Enter Shortcut: - While the game is in windowed mode, try pressing Alt+Enter on your keyboard. This keyboard shortcut can toggle the game between windowed and full screen mode. Try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details, and we can further troubleshoot the issue together.
