So far I like the RC. It doesn't crash or lock-up (IE8) like the Beta frequently did while browsing, and the "Delete Browsing History" function actually does the job now; when I do a disk cleanup, the temp files are already empty, whereas they were still there with the Beta.

Shutdown takes quite a bit longer than with the Beta: It must be doing more work?

I tried Virtual Machine/XP Mode - although I have no use for it - and it seemed to work well enough. Installation was not a problem.

Overall, I am happy with this release. It has been very stable for me as aposed to the Beta, which was constantly generating error reports. And IE8 is now working smoothly for me.:)

Now, I'll try it out on my Notebook.

There had to be a reason for all the errors you said you were getting with the Beta.. ;) Though I agree the RC is a very stable and solid release.. I also found the Beta was just as good.. :) But it's good to see Microsoft going forward instead of backwards with this release.. ;)
