I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and have been having multiple Sleep-related issues.

When I leave the computer alone and it goes into Sleep mode, it crashes. When I manually put the computer into sleep mode, it powers off and then when it starts again says that Windows wasn't shut down properly or that Windows recovered from a serious error. I think I've updated all of the drivers.

I've attached a dump folder, but not really sure how to read it or how to correct these problems.

Any advice anyone has would be very much appreciated.

Solution
The crash was caused by Realtek RTL81892SE Wireless.

1. Go to Link Removed to update your notebook drivers such as Touchpad and HDD protection.

2. Use Link Removed to update Intel devices.

3. If crashes persist after the updates, uninstall AVG and replace it with Link Removed.

Solution
Thanks for the reply. I had previously downloaded updates from Toshiba, including the RealTek driver update. This time I downloaded directly from the RealTek site - Link Removed - I downloaded from the "Windows driver auto installation program" - Site 2.

I put the computer into Sleep mode and it wouldn't wake up. I then manually turned it off and re-booted and it gave me the "Windows didn't shutdown properly.." message.

I also took off AVG and am using MSFT MSE. And Intel utility said everything is up to date.

Not sure what's going on. Is there an alternative to Realtek?

Thanks again.

Thanks again. I very much appreciate the help. Apologies for being a bit dense here, but I've downloaded all of the drivers and I'm still having issues. The computer is not crashing, but when I put into Sleep mode, the computer won't wake up and just powers down. When I turn back on it says that Windows wasn't shut down properly.

Also having issues when I turn the computer off it powers back up when it's plugged in. When not plugged in, it will shut off fine. Not sure if these issues are related

Sounds good if no more blue screens. Let's see how you're doing, attach your current drivers list DriverView: Loaded Windows Drivers List.

Command Prompt > sfc /scannow.
Command Prompt > chkdsk /f/r.

Still need to update:

Thanks - those updates seem to be the latest on the Toshiba support site. Intel won't let me download directly from their site, as they say it's customized for Toshiba. The other manufactures advise the same. I guess I can try downloading directly from the driver site and set up a restore point if anything goes wrong.
