Hey,
About 1 in every 3 or 4 restarts my computer comes up with, windows could not start attempting automatic repairs (or whatever it is) and it always fixing them in a minute or so and promts a restart, which i do and then it is fine. But as i said it happens very frequently, and today when it did it, it said it could not auto repair the problem, so i scanned through the results and the only failure i could find was this:

Code:
Root Cause Found
----------------------------------
Boot critical file d:\ci.dll is corrupt
Repair Action: File Repair
Result: Failed. Error Code = 0x2
Time Taken = 4555ms

Repair action: System files integrity check and repair
Result: Failed. Error code = 0x490
Time taken = 514756ms

Does anyone know what to do about this, a restart solved it and i was able to log on to my pc just like all the previous times, but obviously the frequency of this happening is worrying, especially now its saying it cannot auto repair, incase one day it doesn't come back on.

Thanks for any help!

Hey...

Boot to safe mode. Open a command prompt and run this command from it:

sfc /scannow

Let it complete and don't even worry what it says when done. Reboot and enjoy.
