Windows 7 Windows boot manager keeps starting up

Can you open an administrative command prompt and type bcdedit ? This should list the BCD store that might have some clues as to what might be happening. The translations on the pictures are a help.

Have you run any other OSes or do you have additional drives that might have had an OS on them?

Press F8 to select an advanced setting for this choice"

Velkommen til forum,mckrogh.

You should tick the square " Vis en lists over operativsystemer i: "
Then reboot and see if all is in order.[/lang]

Re: [langtitle=da]Re: Windows boot manager keeps starting up[/langtitle]

Your Boot manager readout is still showing 30 seconds (the default).

Ticked and it now says 30 seconds.

Also. Download and install EasyBCD. ( Download EasyBCD 2.0.2 - NeoSmart Technologies)
Perhaps we can get something out of that. Print out the "View settings" option for a starter.

This worked... Now windows boot manager isnt shoving up :)

New prob - Now it freezes 1 in 4 times when loading in windows.... Screen is "Starting windows" and then it stops..... What can this be?

Have a look in the device manager and see if you have any yellow tags. Sounds like you have a hardware device driver problem.

None yellow tags... what now?

But for the last 10 restarts there have been no probs... Can it disappear by itself?

Because the BCD store seems to be a little different, I would suggest you run a Bootrec command from a command prompt after booting into the WinRE.

The command should be typed and hit enter after. See this site for an explanation.

Bootrec /RebuildBCD

This will rewrite the BCD store. It is sometimes suggested to backup up your current store first, and that is explained on the linked site.

As far as you listing of the BCD store, you show some differences from mine, but it might be related to the international version.

I would not say it has been repairing. It has probably been installing missing hardware drivers. I would suggest you leave it alone now and see how things develop.
