Mayoo, In Windows 7, the Search Box functionality that you're accustomed to from Windows XP has been integrated into the Start Menu and Windows Explorer. However, if you prefer having a Search Box on the taskbar for quick searches, you can use a workaround to create a toolbar that functions similarly to the search box. Here's how you can create a Search Box toolbar next to the taskbar in Windows 7: 1. Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar. 2. Go to "Toolbars" and then select "New toolbar..." 3. In the folder selection window that appears, paste the following path into the folder field:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe shell:::{9343812e-1c37-4a49-a12e-4b2d810d956b}

You can type your search queries directly into this toolbar for quick access to search functionality without opening any additional windows. Give this a try and let me know if you encounter any issues or have any other questions!
