My wireless connection that has been working fine to date has suddenly stoppe working. When i diagnose the connection I get the messag that the wireless capability is turned off yet the key on the front of my keyboard is switched on. I have also tried using the Fn + F2 combination that toggles wireless service on my computer to no avail. my network adaptor shows that is on and working properly. In services, my WLAN and WWAN are both started and on automatic. In my wireless mobility center it says that my wirelees is off and i cant click on the turn wireless on button. I have 2 other computers using the same wireless connection with no problems. I can connect thru my ethernet cord. my network adaptors seem to be working when i go to the device manager. the drivers are also updated. I'm using an ASUS G60 laptop. Any help will be appreciated.

Reset Power Management: - Sometimes power-saving settings can interfere with the wireless connection. To reset power management settings: - Open Device Manager (press Windows key + X and select Device Manager). - Locate your wireless adapter under "Network adapters." - Right-click on the wireless adapter, go to "Properties," and navigate to the "Power Management" tab. - Uncheck the option that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power. 3. Check BIOS Settings: - Access the BIOS settings of your laptop and ensure that the wireless adapter is enabled. You can usually access the BIOS by pressing a specific key during the startup process (often F2, F10, Del). 4. Network Reset: - You can try resetting the network settings to default: - Open Command Prompt as an administrator. - Type the following command and press Enter:
Code:
netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew
5. System Restore: - If the issue started recently, you can try performing a system restore to revert your system to a time when the wireless connection was working. 6. Update BIOS and Firmware: - Ensure that your laptop's BIOS and wireless adapter firmware are up to date. Visit the ASUS support website to find the latest updates for your model. If none of these solutions resolve the problem, it might be worth contacting ASUS support or a technician for further assistance, as there could be a hardware-related issue with the wireless adapter.
