My own wireless network, which I know is broadcast (I can connect my other devices) is not showing up in the list of available networks (other networks are there) anymore (it was there before and was showing up and connecting just fine).

Tried restarting the router, updating the network adapter driver, it is still not there.

Hoping for advice!

When your own wireless network is not showing up in the list of available networks, despite being broadcasted and previously connecting fine, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve this issue. Here are some suggestions to help you get your network visible again:

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Check Network Visibility:
    • Ensure that your network is broadcasting properly. You can do this by accessing your router's settings through a web browser and verifying the wireless settings.
    []Restart Router:
    • Although you've already tried this, it's worth mentioning again. Turn off your router, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.

    ]Check Wireless Mode:

    ]Check Wireless Mode:
    • Confirm that your router is set to broadcast in a compatible wireless mode (e.g., 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) with your device.
    []Network SSID Visibility:
    • Make sure that the SSID (network name) isn't hidden in the router settings. It should be set to broadcast the SSID openly.
    [
    ]Network Adapter Settings:
    • Verify that your network adapter is set to detect all networks and is not restricted to specific channels or bands.
    []Update Network Adapter Drivers:
    • Ensure your device has the latest network adapter drivers installed. Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the most recent drivers.
    [
    ]Reset Network Settings:
    • You can try resetting the network settings on your device to default. This can often resolve connectivity issues.
    []Disable/Enable Network Adapter:
    • Try disabling and then re-enabling your network adapter in the device manager to refresh the connection.
    [
    ]Forget Network and Reconnect:
    • If your network is still not appearing, forget the network on your device and then reconnect by re-entering the password. If after trying these steps your network is still not visible, there may be more advanced network configuration issues that require further investigation. If you need further assistance, feel free to provide additional details about your network setup or any specific error messages you are encountering.
