Windows 7 Screen image issue

I upgraded a laptop from Windows vista 32 to Windows 7 home premium. I have updated all of my drivers. However now I have a screen issue where images, or icons or the top bar on this web page get distorted and most often is cleaned up as soon as I run my mouse pointer over the area.

I am not sure what else to do.

Bios update/flash fixed it. FYI

Very common with upgrades of an OS and as you found out a BIOS version upgrade almost always fixes it. Nice catch.Thanks for the update.
