hello i have a hp desktop m9150f n i see on my video card..there is a HDMI output.. what can i use that for? i mean i connected the hdmi to my monitor i dont see any difference.. its like the same quality as the regular connector.. what is the main purpose for that?

That's for connecting to your TV or home theather receiver it they have HDMI inputs.

Yeh and you also can buy a s-video to composite cable if you wanted to use that. The idea of hdmi is for HD content, and with an audio loop cable it will also do HD audio.
