📎 AI Summary:
The thread discusses the viability of using Windows 8 in 2021. The original poster questions its security and support status, while a subsequent expert mentions that Windows 8.1 is supported until 2023 and advises that Windows 8 users can manually install Server 2012 updates for continued use, which they've done successfully for years. Overall, the sentiment suggests that with manual updates, Windows 8 can still be used, but official support has ended.

And you can use Windows 8 if you would like, but just install Server 2012 updates from the Microsoft Catalog. I've been doing just that very happily for six years now.
