Hi I was just curious about something, I've been setting up a theme for my laptop based on Deus Ex HR. I have everything the way I want (the Pre Logon Background, The mouse cursor, the desktop theme, chrome theme, etc. except the actual Log On screen background (the hideous purple one which I've changed to orange) where you type your password, is it possible to change that (solid colour) to an image you have on your comp?

No, not without hacking but you can set the system to auto-log you in without needing you to do anything which at least limits the time it displays that colour.
