Solution
I have been getting Blue Screens on one system simply by hitting the Start Button. The other system seems to be OK.
I will keep playing with it for a few days to see if patches become available for download. This system is just extra so I can leave it longer just for the heck of it.

Thanks for the post... my hyper-v (1 core + 2g ram) booted up just as fast so the 10 g ram you gave it doesn't appear to make a huge diff.
@anyone, have a install-boot time with 2 or more cores for compare?
Pat, if you installed any drivers in your 9926 (such as video drivers) try removing them before your upgrade and try again.
