hyperlink problem with upgrades. With the past 2 upgrades, the hyperlinks on emails, search engines, Pocket, Facebook, etc. stop working. Last time the problem seemed to be fixed by an accidental hard shutdown. Tried the hard shutdown and it didn't help. I have gone thru all the switching to Microsoft Edge, etc and nothing is working. I went thru everything that was suggested last time and none of the suggestions worked until the accidental shut down. Is this the situation I am going to face with each new upgrade? I need help. Please.

  • Press [Windows key + i]
  • Apps
  • 'Default Apps'
  • 'Choose default apps by protocol' (near bottom)
  • Make sure HTTP and HTTP are configured for a browser

Did the above, no luck. Tried to see links from search engine, Dog Pile (I don't care for Google) and tried Facebook links suggested to other pages - neither worked. The HTTP are configured to Firefox.
