With the evaluation copy of 8.1 the java app I used to connect to operate the building I work at remotely, worked fine. With the final 8.1 install, I can no longer run the app. I noticed Internet Explorer 11 (which worked with my java app) was also updated. As I can't seem to install the older version, I'm wondering if the IE 11 update is what broke the java app or the 8.1 final update. Any Ideas?

Not yet. The java version the app uses is 1.5.0_11. I don't think i'll get much help from them.Have you contacted Java directly?
Unfortunately nothing else will work. I'm currently using Team Viewer to connect to my desktop PC at home to make the connection. It's running Win 7. I'll keep trying and report back with success or failure. ThanksIs there an alternative app you can use to meet your needs?
