I had Intel HD 3000 graphics but when I reformatted my computer I now have, Intel Sandybridge Mobile Graphics Chip set and my adapter type is: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
also my resolution now is 1024x768. It used to be 1280x1024. What happened? When I try updating the driver it says its already up to date.

You'll probably have to download the driver from Intel and delete the old one then install the one you downloaded.
