i get as far as the windows splash screen and then the screen goes blank and just says "vga no signal". It boots up fine in safe mode. So far I have unplugged all usb devices from pc and formatted hard drive. When i formatted it booted up fine the first time. I updated windows then rebooted and got the same problem. I've tried unistalling the updates in safe mode but get a windows update error. I tried running sfc scannow as admin but keeps saying reboot is pending. Im out of ideas.

cheers.

mike.

I think your display driver fails. In safe mode it is using a different "low end always working" driver.
Try reloading and installing the correct driver for your system.
