I've been trying to get Windows 7 to update, but I keep getting an 8007273D error. I tried the Windows Update Diagnostic but that fails as well. Help please?

Solution
Before you do that,,, lets try the following.....

Start / Run
type Services.msc
hit enter
stop Windows Update service
If exists stop Automatic Update (if it doesn't then continue)

Navigate to the following location...

C:\Windows

Delete Software Distribution folder

Restart the Windows Update Service (and Automatic Updates if it exists)

You might have to reboot,, maybe not,, but then try updating again.

From another message board when posted this question:

Problem is solved. Reformatted the drive and reinstalled Windows 7. Everything works fine now.

That's a good idea. A partial or corrupt downolad could easily cause confusion.
