Having a bit of a problem with my taskbar. Its looking kinda strange. That is, it has changed from the theme colour to a grey colour and the graphics have become basic. It looks like the taskbar from something like Windows '98, to be honest. Also, the actual windows that programmes open in are also a grey/white colour, like the taskbar. I'm not really all that computer smart, so can anyone tell me how to fix this? My PC is an ACER Aspire5738Z, if that helps at all.

Solution
Sounds like you've lost the aero settings for Windows. Try re-running the WEI assessment - Control Panel, system, Windows experience index, re-run the assessment.
