📎 AI Summary:
The forum thread discusses issues with configuring Windows 8.1 File History to back up the user's Work and SkyDrive folders, which were previously working in Windows 8. The original poster, Basher, seeks help after discovering that File History no longer backs up SkyDrive files, even when added as a library. Contributors suggest that Microsoft may have deliberately changed how SkyDrive is backed up, implying that automated backups might now occur differently or not at all, with a general tone of shared frustration and community support.

Solution
I don't use SkyDrive either, but I get the impression the operation has been changed and automatically backs up whatever during the syncing operation. Since in appears Exploer.exe seems to maintain an open internet connection, possibly the files are backed up if they are included in your basic settings, whatever they might be.

Hi Kemical dude,
Nice to see that you are still active here
I have the file history setup OK apart from it wont backup the local copy of my SkyDrive, even after I add it as a library item. I think I read somewhere that MS had deliberately stopped it :-( but was hoping it was a vicious rumour, appears not.
Regards
