Hi Guys,

I have a Windows 7 PC connected via RJ45 to a D-Link router and a laptop runing Windows XP which is purely wirless but both are in the same workgroup - the laptop and the PC can see all shares that are set up on each other.

I have a multimedia streaming device (ICYBOX MP308) which communicates via wireless networking using the SAMBA protocol to a shared folder on the same network using the guest account but it does not see my Windows 7 shares.

The problem i have is that the ICY box can see shares on the XP pro laptop but although it can see the Windows 7 PC, it can not see any shares.

Steps so far are:
1. Disable firewall
2. Disabled antivirus
3. installed new NIC
4. Allowed LAN MAnager NTLMv1 and v2.

Any constructive ideas welcomed as i am fresh out.

Thanks is advance.

Did you try killing the power to the router then turning it back on? Sometimes that rests things you can't manually.
