Would outlook 2007 work properly in conjuction,
with office home and student 2007???

No.... win 7 requrires you to download Live Email it won't run Outlook anymore... If you did an update when you insall Live email it will restore your setting, email accounts and saved email from Outlook

Thank you for replying;
I'm sort of new to this, i had a pc about 7 years ago' and gave it away to my daughter,
i've recently purchased an hp pavillion dv6 notebook.
I used outlook before on my old pc, i got office home and student with the hp package.
and thought maybe i could use outlook 2007 standard with outlook connector.

anyway thanks for your help.

When you install Live email and import your settings from outlook you will not notice any difference except some minor changes in the appearance.
