Trying to upgrade windows 8.1 to windows 10. On the first Microsoft Surface with windows 8.1 pro. It first does a update check. It finds a firmware update. It downloads and installs restarts. But failed every time. I have done sfc /scanned no problems found. I have run the diagnosis for windows updates. Has fixed some problems. No joy! Will not update? Any help would be great!

Suggest you could use the media installation from Link Removed and install from removable media.
