Hello, markm here.
Samsung RV 515. Purchased 2011.
OS win 7 home premium 64. sp 1 is on disk.
I reinstalled os 2 weeks ago. I could not before and can not after use system restore or create disk image.
Hopefully I can upload the screenshots.
Also I'm having trouble updating. I downloaded win catalog, but get add on failed to run message.
Any help or links appreciated.

Pt 2.
I did the reinstall offline (have disk that came with).
Does the disk have all the software on it or does it load files from D drive?
I'm pretty sure my D drive is corrupted. Can I reinstall D drive?
Would I get different results if I reinstall online?

sfc /scannow is happy with the setup.

Looks like I have those files but I don't know what to do with 'em.
Ill try online install later this week.

I was gonna reinstall while online but never got past searching for installation updates.

As stated in that guide and elsewhere you can't get Windows updates through Control Panel > Windows Updates any more. You have to go to the Update catalog online and download the monthly update patches.
