On my laptop, running Windows 7 Professional, I get a weird tearing effect when using Aero (see attached image). It happens on the glass effect, on toolbars, and the task bar. Ive had to turn it off, without aero things work fine but i would really like to use Aero. Ive updated all my drivers to the latest. Its a Sony Vaio VGN-BZ26V with Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics. Im running a secondary 24'' monitor through a VGA cable.

Any ideas how to get it working properly?

A bios update may fix the problem but I checked for your model and there does not seem to be one:

Perhaps try the Driver Update Utility on Intel's site in the blue at top to see if it has a newer driver for the graphics then what Sony has:
