Hi,
I've got this problem with my intex USB Audio Speakers where whenever I plug them in my Windows 7 powered laptop, they just don't work. The default audio device in Control Panel/Sounds changes automatically from my onboard High Definition Audio Device to USB Audio Device (which I think it's...

I've recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. Now I'm not getting any sound from my input jack. I don't have a sound card; it's an "onboard audio" Dell XPS desktop. I've gone through the steps I found in other postings in the Windows 7 forums.
*Select sound from control panel.

Works fine on windows xp but my windows 7 wont detect my audio device drivers properly. I searched some forums and its told to choose the driver "Philips Composite USB-Hifi Device" manually but its not listed on my drivers list.

After spending about 2 fruitless hours trying to findo ut why my Windiws 7 Home Premium was telling me I did not have an sudio device in my system and could not therefore record sounds, I found this in a Vista forum. It seems that the sound recorder is disabled in Windows 7 and the information...
When I installed Windows 7 on top of XP, it seems that my audio drivers were just not found, and the audio icon appears with a big red X. I click this red X in order to see if it can solve the issue, but it does not, and returns a "hardware changes may not have been detected". Device manager...

As old as Creative Extigy external sound device is it was easy to install and set up in Windows 7 by using compatible with XP and the latest old drivers Creative has along with their player. Using 5.1 speaker set up with Artez speakers connected to the external device made it easier.
Title says it all.
I bought a new Audigy SE because I need to record a radio show that I appeared on and create a podcast. It is important for business, but there is no "Stereo Mix" "What U Hear" recording device listed.
I installed the Creative beta W7 Audigy drivers. Still nothing.

It took me about 5 hours to get this, but I finally have sound on my LG LE50 Express laptop!
I tried the generic Microsoft driver, a number of Sigmatel drivers acquired from Dell, and some IDT drivers found on one of those drivers web sites. They all installed correctly (Device Manager said...

hi,
I just installed 7 (x64) on a friends PC. it's working fine except his sound isn't working.
He uses the onboard sound of an Asus M2N-MX board, which should be a Realtek ALC662 card.
the odd thing is that windows lists a properly installed "hd audio device" in the device manager, but when he...
