Anytime my laptop connects to the Internet, I get this message: "Windows has encountered a critical error and will shut down automatically in one minute. Please save your work now." I tried using the shutdown -a command, as well as disabling automatic shutdown in advanced boot options...
This started a few days ago... When I shut down Win 7 and the automatic updates start to run, it gets to 8 of 12 and just sits there with the ".." going back and forth... I left it like that and went to bed.... 8 (or so) hours later, it was still at 8 of 12???? I just hard booted..
Any ideas...

I use a wide screen monitor as most of you do.
The monitor has enough space to accomodate two screens (files).
Is there easy way to resize two or three screens automatically when I open two or three files together?

When I try to run either workstation or player I get the message The VMWare authorisation service is not running. When I check in computer management, services, it's set to Automatic but it won't start. I get an error "service-specific code 6000002"

whenever i leave the computer running, logged on, about an hour later, it restarts "unexpectedly" - says windows wasnt shut down properly on teh on the boot screen.
