battery

While downloading Windows 7, my laptop ran out of battery. When I rebooted, it told me I had to restart, so I did, but when it was done, it came to the same screen again and told me to restart again. Now I can't get on to my computer. What should I do?

My computer wakes every night at around 4am. In the event viewer, the reason is "S4 Doze to Hibernation". I cannot figure out how to force the computer to stay in sleep mode. I do, however, want the computer to allow hibernation on battery, so disabling hibernational all together won't work.
