So I decided to do some cleaning in my PC. But one thing that has been bothering me a long time and was afraid to delete them, are some folders with long names containing random numbers and letters on my Local Disk. Examples:

I inadvertently saved a file to the wrong folder. When I did that the new file replaced the document of the same name in the folder that was still active on my save button.
Is there anyway I can restore that file? Please advise
Thank you
I learnt some time ago that you could delete the information that builds up in the software distribution folder and that has kept me going but a few months ago I noticed windows was holding onto data somewhere else after an update for a few weeks then it would just disappear. With the last...

I am trying to view the backups of my Lumia 640 on OneDrive.
When I login to the site it says 7.52GB out of 5GB used (???) but shows an empty folder.
Are the backups hidden? Is there a way to reveal them?
I just now noticed it says under Hard Disk OS(C:) 169GB free of 684 GB. I have no clue how much free space I have left, is 168 GB not very much space? Also is there any way to free up. I did delete all my Downloaded videos, I know they were taking alot of space, that is when it said 169GB...

I have been working on 3 wordpad files and I just leave the files open and save whenever I add new data to them. This morning I got on my laptop and clicked wordpad and all 3 files are completely blank and they are now just titled "Document" instead of the save name they had. I went to find the...

When I inspect my file system some of my "normal" (=non system) folders then I can see owners like
"S-1-5-21-15185678....." or "S-1-5-21-107808153
Why do only approx 30% of all folders have "S-1-5-21-151..." as owner and all others "Administrator"?
I dislike these "S-1-5-21-......" owners and...

Since new my Samsung R540 laptop has had two partitions, C for programs and D for data. I decided to replace the (slow) HDD with a SSD, and in the cloning process somehow everything was put into one partition. Is there any advantage in having separate partitions for programs and data?
Assume I exported the current events into an external *.evtx log file.
Afterwards I cleaned all active event log entries.
However it could be that I want to re-check some particular events from the past (=from the exported event logfile). For´better view I would like to import them again into...
