Okay, when I decided I wanted to use Windows 7 the only thing in my way was Windows Media Player 12. I love WMP11, a lot of people hate it, but I love the way you can navigate your music in it. When I tried the beta I tried WMP12 and hated it, I was sure they would have it running nicely later...

Hello!
I just downloaded Windows 7 professional 64bit from Microsofts UK student site (ie I got it for £30)
it downloaded a file, (DLMWin7Pro64UK.exe) in which I promptly double clicked on.
That opened, unpacked "expandedSetup" folder and begun the installation process.
So far...
I have installed Windows 7 Professional via a download. I previously had Windows Vista Home Premium and much preferred it. I have been having multiple problems with compatibility issues and want to uninstall Windows 7 and got back to Vista. Is that possible? How do I do it?
Hello everyone!
I'm currently using the Win7 RC1 and I want to upgrade to RTM however It's not possible to Upgrade so I saw some tutorials in the Internet but It's only RC1 to RTM Ultimate

I'm using build 7100 7 ultimate and will be downgrading to 7 Pro. Will I be able to just backup my entire system to an external hard drive, do a clean install of the 7 pro and then restore my files and programs to the new OS?
I have Vista Home and it won't let me install 7 Pro without doing a clean install... I just want to do an upgrade.
Is there any option from Microsoft to download the Home version if you already purchased a higher version of 7?
If you have installed a preview version of Windows 7 Ultimate (e.g. beta, release candidate build 7100 or RTM build 7600) and want to install a cheaper version of Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional the installation is normally refused.
But with change of a registry key whilst installation...

So I have Vista Ultimate right now, which I was given through my college. I want to upgrade to Windows 7, but I don't need Professional or Ultimate. Home Premium would be just fine. Is there a way I can buy the 50 dollar upgrade to Home Premium or am I SOL because I have Vista Ultimate? If so, I...

I want to upgrade to Windows 7, until it expires. But i want to know, i can keep my files, and if i can downgrade to vista, without deleting any of my files. I need a pretty good answer :) Also, i do not have a vista disc, or backup files.
So far so good running Windows 7 (which was a nice surpirse ). However, just wanted to know if I will get into trouble when I decide to go downgrade back to Windows XP.
I created a couple of user accounts in Windows 7 and moved the documents folder of each user to another partition...
