Just bought on line a small 2T external HD & as is not shown I cannot Format it.
Tried various programs like eases-us etc hoping they have something to make it show in w.explorer with no success.
It specifies formatting in Fat32. My 1T PC HD is in NTFS & so is my other 1T External one...

Hey guys, I'm gonna explain what got me here first.
I installed windows 10 on my machine a while ago on my 500Gb drive. Recently I added a 1Tb drive to my PC and decided to move to windows 8.1 because W10 became too heavy for my system after the 2019 update. I mounted the W8.1 ISO and began the...
I'm on Windows 10 Home, using USB 3.0 EXT HDD (one Glyph & one Fantom)
The Problem: I attempted to clone each drive using Macrium Reflect as I've done many times before to back up information. Something's up because both drives seem to be bricked. At the moment that is.
If you look disk.jpg...
Hello,
Windows 7 refuses to let me save/delete etc files on my Android tablet's SD card, claiming the file system is 'dirty'.
The last time this happened I followed the prompts to correct it and ended up with a bricked SD card which was unuseable/unformatable and had to be discarded...
I mean I can't be the only one who has faced this issue that the format window does not auto-close after the format is complete. I mean I have ended up formatting a flash drive 3 times in a row because I don't know if I clicked on format or not. (At least add an option for closing the window...
After I assemble an internal drive within the external enclosure with the cables are ready, do I create a simple volume, or just format or do both?
I am hoping to salvage my other relatively new HDD into a portable HDD to contain photos etc.
I would also like to image to this drive.
In this tutorial we will be manually creating the system boot partition. This is for a system that is BIOS booting (sometimes referred to as legacy or legacy CSM) which utilizes the MBR.
The MBR is the first sector on the hard drive that contains a small first stage boot loader which hands the...

I am an amateur with the autounattend.xml. I have been able to successfully follow tutorials and create installs on multiple partition formatted hard drives.
So the question,
How do I setup the autounattend to clean 3 of the partitions created while leaving one partition intact, i.e. all the...

I'm hoping someone in this community can help me with a hard drive problem. Recently, I replaced my old laptop (it ran a Linux/Ubuntu OS). Before getting rid of it, I removed the laptop's hard drive with the intent to repurpose it into a portable hard drive. I then encased it within a plug...

Hi my name is Ricardo and I recently bought my computer with w10 and everything but as 1 month ago my pc started to slow down and I researched several possible solutions and I ended up finding out that it could be a windows bug, so far I have not found nothing that would solve it. I try to do...
I have adopted a fairly old IT philosophy of 'If its not broken, don't fix it' when it comes to Windows 10.
After all, the only 'valuable' stuff on your computer are documents and emails which you spent time on - if these are 'lost' there is a cost to recover this data.
So - for the past...

I have a Dell XPS-17 L702X laptop running Windows 10 Pro x64. I upgraded my 500GB internal secondary drive to a 1TB drive. I did not do a quick format of this new 1TB but rather did the full, longer format. The new, upgraded 1TB secondary drive was made active and assigned the drive letter D...

Ugh... So, I'm having major issues with my PC freezing up a lot. I even tried reinstalling Windows 10 and it worked great for about 2 hours before freezing up again. I figure there must be some kind of trojan downloading stuff to my PC. This is strange because I formatted the drive twice before...
