Hi,
I'm having this issue since I moved to W2008 R2 64 bits. I was using W2008 X64 before and it worked absolutely fine. As I'm using W7 X86 on my notebook since it was available on the MSDN website as a RTM version, I thought I would like to have a homogeneous working environment so decided to...

I've setup a custom slideshow for my background and I have a multi monitor setup. Is there a way to randomize the background on each monitor?
I've found a program to do that 'Wallpaper Manager' but it uses a lot of memory.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Over the past six months I"ve had a chance to try most all the company security suites. Here's my opinion. ON a windows 7 duo core machine with 2 gb of memory:
Norton 2010: Excellent graphics with the 3d doesn't take up any memory doing scans installs real fast. An excellent program...
I have an Intel quad core desktop and i installed the RTM from MSDN on here and the multitasking is insanely slow. My pc basically locks up while doing a lot of activities but my memory usage never breaks about half of what i have (4gb) and the CPU is never stressed more than 35%, what could be...
I just bought a new computer a few days ago. This computer was loaded with Vista originally, and while I had Vista for the FEW days I had it (I had to get off!) I noticed that the CPU was constantly being used in a process called SearchIndexer.exe. My laptop's activity light was constantly...
I want to go back to Vista Home Premium x64!
Windows 7 disappointed me and actually gave me a harder time than Vista did when I moved from XP to Vista.

I have been using Windows 7 RC for a week now. Today the 13th of May I was using Windows 7 as usual, I had Windows Live Messenger in the background and Mozilla Firefox 3.5b4 that I had installed recently. I decided to hear some music, and opened Windows Media Player. I chose the music to play...
Got rid of AVG and installed trend Micro. Memory usage dropped like a brick and trend is picking up malware. Ahhh:) its good to have a firewall again. To install go into widows 7 maintenance and say you need a firewall gives the choices kaspersky, avg, trend ect.
I have an 8gb machine (memory) and it runs without a hitch. Were the problems cleared during the sp1? I have windows 7 on other and I find both to be very similar except for the taskbar and some networking features.
Are these past vista complaints or is there a valid reason?

Hi everyone
I'm now satisfied on my laptop with the X32 version of W7 -- now Hauppage Win TV is also working.
My Lan card which I could NEVER get to work either on Vista Home premium X-32 or W7 X-32 worked straight away . (Via velocity family gigabit ether net card). Wireless wasn't an issue...
EDIT: Before any of the below stuff happens, it wont let me open my computer and then open any of the drives there. I double click on em and it starts loading and you can see the progress bar where it says Computer at the top of the window but then it won't open any of em. I can still go to...

Recently, and I am not sure if it has anything to do with windows updates taken to the system in similar time, my CPU Usage fan has been going crazy - and quite frequently. CPU memory usuage, 100% or thereabouts is the norm now.
Anybody else experience this?
Thanks in advance.
